As of the start of this blog I have used the theme Minimalistica, a cleanish sleekish gray theme that’s okay to use.
Some stuff on the theme: it’s based off of Kubrick. Meaning that I had a design and I just ported it to Kubrick. This theme was made in March of 2006. Sometime around there. It’s not a great theme.
Minimalistica was released in the public under GNU GPL as open source. The Minimalistica theme is free and open source. Go ahead and hack it, release your modifications, do whatever, as long as you release it under the same licensing terms of which the theme was licensed with when you recieved it.

If you use this theme, please consider making a pledge to me for Blogathon 2006. It would be much appreciated. If you want more information, look at the side pane that scrolls along with you when you scroll the page. Yeah, that thing on the right.
Update: I’ve just Googled “Minimalistica” and found that it is a design studio. “Minimalistica” is not meant to infringe any trademarks or copyrights. Thank you.
I admit with no shame that this is not a great template, so I do invite you to hackmod it. Or not. Your call. It’s Valid XHTML Transitional and Valid CSS. You can see a test installation here.

Frequently Asked Questions (Actually, I’m just making these up. Not sure if they’re frequent.)
Q: There’s no sidebar. Why not? A: It’s minimalistic. You could put the sidebar at the end of the page, like I do with my website.
Q: What’s up with these blue things with the drop shadows in IE? A: The answer is that you should stop using Internet Explorer 6. At the very least, get yourself with pop culture and get a copy of Internet Explorer 7 (beta 3 at the time of this writing). Or, even better, grab yourself a copy of an alternative browser, such as Firefox, Flock, or my personal favorite Opera. If you’re on a Mac, get yourself a copy of Camino. The technical description is that Internet Explorer 6 can’t handle 32-bit (RGB+Alpha Channel) PNGs with transparency. Because IE6 sucks. You might want to see if you want to use a Javascript hack that fixes it.
Q: How can I replace the header image? A: Replace your wp-content/themes/minimalistica/headerimage.png with another image. The default header image is 700×200px. If you replace that, you might want to replace the text under that and the ALT attribute. That’s in index.php.
Q: The menu links except for Home don’t point anywhere! How can I replace them? A: Look inside index.php where the menu is and you can add or fix them.
Q: The other files don’t look like they serve any purpose. WordPress Codex said you really only needed an index.php and a style.css in a theme. This was made in March when I had little experience in WordPress theme coding. So I stuffed everything together into three files - index.php, comments.php, and style.php.
Q: You’re awesome. Thanks.
