MapQuest Beta Released
Posted on Saturday, October 7th, 2006 at 3:00 pm.

In the midst of the pwnage of Google Maps MapQuest is getting back in the game by finally adding some interactivity to their maps. Their new maps have Javascript - meaning they are draggable, just like in Google Maps. MapQuest also adds aerial views - just like Google Maps’ Satellite View. It’s almost just like Google Maps with the instant zoom bar, switching between aerial and street views, etc. Check it out, though it might not be as good as Google Maps, it will be good for the people that don’t know what Google Maps is.
