Facebook Adds Blog-Like “Notes”
Posted on Tuesday, August 22nd, 2006 at 10:49 pm.

Facebook has added a feature called “notes” - which is very close to a blog, but just called “notes”. It’s more devious from a blog, though, becuase you not only can add ‘notes’ and have them show up in your profile chronologically, but you can also add a photo for the note, as well as you can tag people in the note so they can be notified that they were included in that particular note. In other terms, you can “tag” people in the notes, just like you can tag people in photos. Of course, you can add comments to note posts.

Example of a sample note being written, with the good ol’ autocomplete with tagging people in the note. You can also add a photo for the note.

You can apparently enter the feed of your blog to be displayed alongside your notes, apparently. It looks like it aggregates - but I won’t test it.
